South Shore Concert Band

I heard the “South Shore Concert Band” play Sunday.  I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their performance.  Maestro Ed Nawrock led the band and entertained the crowd with rapid fire one liners between songs.  The band played material ranging from marches to musicals to concert pieces.  Definitely worth more than the price of admission – free.  Heard there may be a South Shore Orchestra starting up.  The next concert is March 7.  Stay tuned for time and location.

South Shore Library Teen Talent Show

Teen talent show was held Jan 16 at South Shore Regional Library.  Prize money was provided by “Friends of the SouthShore Library”.  William Harris presented 1st place to pianist Alissa Hernandez, 2nd to Jeanine’s band, 3rd to vocalist Halle Huddleston.  I was thoroughly entertained for an afternoon of show and rehearsal.  Panel of 5  judges were very helpful while offering positive comments.  Judges were

Brenda Roads at Incognito Lounge

I heard Brenda at the Incognito Friday night Jan 16.  A very good R&B band.  Brenda is so sweet.  They started on time and played first set of well over an hour.  At times I wanted to hear the vocals more up front in the mix.  She also had additional singer Theresa who gave the band a different flavor – more rock oriented.
